The
owners of this property are committed to building and living
in a sustainable manner. We are continually learning
about how to reduce the resources use, re-use as much
building material as possible, and minimize the amount
of waste generated.
 The
studio was recently completely renovated. Salvaged
wood was used for all of the wood trim and miscellaneous
framing. Other sustainable building materials used
were: insulation free of formaldehyde, natural non-toxic
wood stain and natural saltillo tiles. With exception
of the sofa, mattress and dining table, no new furniture
was made for this model.
Our commitment to sustainable building
continues with our natural and sustainable living
style. No pesticides or herbicides are used in our
property, and only natural fertizliers and compost
are used to supplement our plants. The house is cleaned
with non-toxic, natural cleaning materials.
